THE WHITE PASSAGE™
Letters From the Far Side
Where Clarity Returns and the Real Path Begins™
A book for the part of life after something shatters the world you understood—but before you know what comes next.
Written from the other side of the water, for those still trying to find their way through.
“The goal is not to sail as though storms no longer exist. The goal is to raise your sails again knowing that they do.”
—Thomas Minieri
What Can an Old Sea Captain Teach You About Getting Lost?
More than you might think.
A captain caught in unfamiliar waters cannot simply sail harder.
- He has to figure out where he is.
- He has to know which weight must go overboard.
- He has to find something reliable enough to navigate by.
And once he begins moving, he has to keep checking whether the ship is actually headed where he thinks it is.
White Passage asks what happens when the thing that becomes lost is not a ship—but a life.
What do you do when the marriage, career, health, faith, identity, or future you were navigating by suddenly stops making sense?
The old sailors left behind more than stories.
They left us a language for being lost.
Inside the Book
A Map for the Space Between Shattering and Rebuilding
White Passage follows the journey from losing your bearings to finding a direction you can trust again.
Through five Logs and 33 Letters From the Far Side, the book moves through:
The Shattering → The Abyss → The White Passage → The Far Side
Along the way, you’ll encounter:
- Passage Records — five people navigating betrayal, business collapse, illness, faith crisis, and career loss.
- Standing Orders — old navigation principles reimagined for moments when life no longer makes sense.
- The Captain’s Log — questions and reflections designed to help you understand your own passage.
The book does not tell you what your next life should look like.
It helps you recover enough clarity to begin choosing it for yourself.

BEFORE YOU KNOW WHAT COMES NEXT
You Don’t Have to Be Ready to Rebuild
Maybe you don’t know whether to stay or leave. Whether to rebuild or begin again. Whether the old life can be recovered—or whether you even want it back.
That is the territory White Passage was written for. The part after the old map stops working, but before the new one exists. You don’t need all the answers yet. You need your next bearing.
About Thomas Minieri
Thomas Minieri is an entrepreneur, author, and creator of Lemonade Maker® and White Passage™.
Much of his earlier work focused on a simple idea: some of the best innovations and competitive advantages are hidden inside the hardest challenges.
That became the foundation of Lemonade Maker®—learning how to turn problems into strategy, opportunity, and forward movement.
But eventually, Thomas encountered a different kind of challenge.
Some experiences cannot be solved simply by thinking harder, moving faster, or finding a better strategy.
Sometimes the problem is that you no longer know where you are.
The assumptions you were navigating by have shattered. What once made sense no longer does. And trying to “solve” the situation before you recover your bearings can actually carry you farther in the wrong direction.
That is the territory Thomas came to call the Abyss.
White Passage grew from the realization that before some problems can be solved, a person first has to become oriented again.
Not every challenge needs another solution.
Sometimes you need a new map.
